About the Center
For more than 35 years, the Boston College Center for Work & Family served as a learning and networking community for progressive global employers focused on fostering inclusive cultures and improving the quality of employees' lives.
Founded in 1990 to bridge the gap between academic research and corporate practice, the Center partnered with scholars and HR leaders to create evidence-based strategies that support employee well-being and work-life harmony.
Through the BC Workforce Roundtable, original publications, and educational programs, the Center delivered high-quality programming and cutting-edge research on topics ranging from working dads and parental leave, to flexible work, gender equity, and belonging in the workplace. The Center was frequently cited in many local, national, and global media outlets for its thought leadership in the work-life field.
