The statues, paintings, patterns, etchings, stained glass—even the organ is a masterpiece to behold. Churches are instruments of sheer beauty. How was all this art formed, and what are the stories behind the people who dedicate their lives in making these sacred works—and what are some of the ways God has inspired them?
Sculptor, Jacob Wolfe had a strong Catholic upbringing. He first began to study music but soon realized it wasn’t the path God intended him to take. Eventually, he developed a love for sculpture under the guidance of Fr. Patrick J. Winslow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. The phrase used by Michelangelo ‘sempre imparo’ means: to learn more—’sempre imparo’ has become Jacob’s motto with each new project he embraces.
