Get Certified

For anyone interested in helping companies practice corporate citizenship more effectively and strategically—to increase ESG performance alongside financial performance—our CSR certificate programs are for you.

The Summit

This in-person certificate program is offered twice each year in different, major U.S. cities (e.g. San Diego and Houston). Offering a broad-based overview of the field, this program includes three required courses and two electives. Participants can attend for all five days or come for some portion of the week and make up the remaining coursework on a self-paced timeline.

The Management Intensive

This five-day program is designed specifically for CSR managers. Participants learn how to build and manage more effective corporate citizenship teams. All five days are required for completion of the certificate. Professionals overseeing corporate giving, employee engagement, workplace inclusion, sustainability, and ESG reporting are all welcome.

Leadership Academy

This five-day program takes place each year on the Boston College campus, catering to senior leaders in the corporate citizenship space. Participants explore and grow their leadership skills; the cohort reconvenes (as an optional bonus) just before BCCCC's annual conference. Tuition includes Conference registration for the following year.

Sustainability Reporting

Looking to grow your knowledge of sustainability reporting standards and frameworks? Need help launching or optimizing your reporting strategy? This fully-online, self-paced certificate program focuses on the latest ESG and sustainability reporting methods. There are five required courses. Instructor support throughout the program is readily available.

Corporate citizenship certification is increasingly helpful in career progression and in terms of compensation, especially for those with fewer than 10 years of experience. Data from the most recent Profile of the Professionals report shows that the median salary for a CSR practitioner is now $110,000 among those not certified, and $144,375 among those who are certified in the field.

“I was just starting out in my career, and my main goal was to learn more, to be around other people who practiced, and to get certified. That was so easy to do. Now I actually have TWO certifications [through BCCCC], which has made me very proud and excited, and which have helped me so much in my work over the years, but also in becoming a mentor to other [corporate citizens]."

“My career evolved through the [Management Intensive] certification in corporate citizenship management. Executive education really propelled my career. It’s helped me understand the ways that you can make sure your resources are put into play, in honor of that social contract with the community where you serve and operate.”
