Of nearly 75,000 individuals who sat for the CPA exam nationwide in 2019, just around 135 scored highly enough to qualify for the prestigious Elijah Watt Sells Award. Among them are four Carroll School alumni: Carson Angress ‘19, George J. Baratta III ‘13, Jiaying Du ‘18, and Nicholas Olives ‘18. Each earned a cumulative average score above 95.5 on four separately administered sections of the CPA exam last year. This is the second time in five years that four Carroll School graduates have earned the accounting award in the same year. The school also ranks #5 nationally among large programs for students’ performance on the exam.
