The culture within the Engineering Department is collaborative and supportive. Our HCE majors are a community, working together to use engineering to better our society and our world.
Our mission of engineering and service to others extends past our campus bounds. From study abroad opportunities to service trips around the world, when it comes to problem-solving, our students think globally.
We are committed to helping HCE majors pursue their career interest for internships and full-time careers after graduation. Our coursework and projects prepare students for a wide range of career options.

Our HCE program at Boston College is one of the only academic programs in the world that purposefully integrates a general engineering education with the full strength of the liberal arts experience to develop engineers for others.
