The Office of the Dean of Students looks out for the wellbeing of the entire BC community, and a critical part of that is caring for the individual. We are here for students as they navigate the complex challenges of the college experience. We support them both directly and through our extensive network of resources. If you’re unsure where to turn, reach out and explore our services—we’d love to help.
Our Vision
The Office of the Dean of Students cultivates a culture of care, responsibility, and growth so that all students feel welcome and can thrive at BC.
Our Mission
The Office of the Dean of Students (DOS) aims to empower students to take ownership of their choices and experiences, and to make the most of their time at BC. DOS calls and challenges students to care for themselves, one another, and the community. The wellbeing of the entire community is at the center of all of our work. Using formative and restorative approaches, and in the context of our Jesuit, Catholic mission, we help students reflect, grow, develop skills, and take responsibility for themselves and the community. We do this work in collaboration with campus partners and student leaders to help students feel welcomed and cared for, so that all students can thrive at BC.
