Sharla Randazzo, MSW, LICSW, has been a part-time faculty member at the Boston College School of Social Work since 2018. She is an experienced clinician, educator, and leader who is currently teaching both Basic Skills Macro as well as Clinical Practice with Children and Families.
With three decades of experience, Sharla has worked in direct care as well as in supervisory and leadership roles in a variety of settings including private schools, public schools, primary care, medical and psychiatric hospitals, group homes, residential care, the foster care system, outpatient mental health, and the housing system.
As a result, Sharla has a wide range of experience and is knowledgeable about resources, treatment, and services for many populations. Sharla serves in a full-time capacity as a Senior Leader at HopeWell Inc and serves on the Board of Directors for Somerville Homeless Coalition.
Professor Randazzo specializes in school social work, education administration, the treatment of children, adolescents, and families, trauma, and solution focused care. She has a particular interest in health and wellness, education equity, and youth who have experienced foster care.
When not working, Sharla enjoys being outdoors, spending time with her three children, and gardening.
