Advisory Board on Inclusion, Opportunity & Workforce Engagement

diversity equity and inclusion group

What is the Advisory Board on Inclusion, Opportunity & Workforce Engagement?

As a corporate citizenship professional, you understand that meaningful progress in creating a welcoming workplace that allows all employees to experience dignity and respect requires both strategic vision and thoughtful policy and procedure implementation. Yet even with sizeable commitments and clear intentions, creating an environment of equal opportunity in an ever-changing global context is challenging. You and your peers are navigating evolving expectations, metrics, and approaches to building truly inclusive cultures that are reflective of the communities where we live, work, and serve customers.

This Advisory Board forms a supportive community of practice that takes an active, engaged approach to both informing and getting counsel from experts on questions such as:

  • How do we effectively measure and demonstrate the impact of our workforce engagement initiatives across the employee lifecycle?
  • What strategies ensure that all employees work in an environment of dignity and respect?
  • What emerging best practices should we consider adopting or adapting for our organizations?

Join the Advisory Board on Workforce Engagement to stay current with leading practices, tackle complex challenges, explore innovative approaches to cultural transformation, and strengthen your organization's competitive advantage as a destination for top talent.

At least one participant from the member company should have decision-making authority for their organization's employee engagement or inclusion and belonging-focused corporate citizenship initiatives.

What Do Board Members Do?

Advisory Board members work together to identify and correct institutional bias, discrimination, and all forms of workplace inequality. Members can expect to:

  • Participate in an ongoing dialogue about workforce engagement issues
  • Exchange ideas and work with peers on diverse workforce recruitment and retention strategies
  • Gain knowledge and insight into best practices for inclusion and engagement
  • Explore cross-sector collaboration with  non-profit groups
Each year the board will work as a group to set the advisory agenda to be explored.  Advisory Board members will have the opportunity to present their own work and to recommend guest topics and/or speakers.  Members will help to shape one or more advisory bulletin publications focused on emerging themes and best practices.  Advisory board members are invited (but not required) to be named co-authors of the advisory bulletin publications.
