Tim Lindgren is Assistant Director for Design Innovation in CDIL where he works with faculty and staff around the university to explore technologies for learning and help design formative educational experiences.
Tim has worked in educational technology, faculty development, and learning design for 20 years in various organizations at Boston College, from the early days of Instructional Design and eTeaching Services through the transitions to the Center for Teaching Excellence and then CDIL in recent years.
Tim has a B.A. in English from Wheaton College (IL) and a PhD in English with an emphasis in Composition and Rhetoric from Boston College (2009). His disseration research focused on blogging and how writers use new media to help foster a deeper sense of place.
As a doctoral student, Tim taught six writing and literature courses in the English department, and recently he taught a new course called Design Thinking and Creativity in the Applied Liberal Arts program in the Woods College at Boston College.
