Andrew McCabe

Andrew McCabe is a learning designer newer to the field than many of his colleagues. Prior to working at BC, he completed his Master's degree in Learning, Design, and Technology and spent two years working at the African Leadership University in Mauritius. There, he helped develop a new degree program and led faculty professional development through the establishment of a faculty observation program.

As a designer, Andrew emphasizes the authenticity and relevance that learning experiences can hold for students when they are inspired by the best features of apprenticeship learning and communities of practice. He strives to help every faculty member re-imagine their teaching practice as an opportunity to welcome students as new participants in their discipline, building fluencies in complex practices that will serve them as professionals and people.
